Get recommendedby ChatGPT.

If you searched for AEO services, or for how to get your business recommended by ChatGPT, the honest answer is this. ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude name a business when they can fetch a page that answers the question and cite it. I build that page. I do not rent a mention, and I do not promise you will be the only name in the chat.

People search. Now they also ask.

A customer used to type three words into Google. A lot of them now ask a full question: who designs a fast website for a small business, which kitchen on 13th Street takes a walk-in, who can fix the site they already have. The reply is a sentence and a citation, or it is a competitor. Google's AI overviews do the same thing with the same pages.

Answer engine optimization is the work of being that citation. It sits on top of ordinary SEO, which is why the method page covers both. Search still sends the visits. The AI answer is a second reader of the same HTML. If the page is a JavaScript shell, a PDF menu, or a paragraph that never says what you do, you are not in the set those systems can quote.

What I change on the site.

I do the technical work and the writing together. A model quotes a page it can fetch, parse, and trust. Keyword stuffing and fifty copies of the same question do not help, and I will not do them.

  • Crawlable HTML. The words are in the first response, not painted in after a script runs. The page you are reading was written at build time. View source and the sentences are already there.
  • Answer-first pages. The direct answer is in the opening, and the detail follows. That is the shape these systems lift.
  • A real FAQ, with FAQPage schema that matches the visible questions word for word. The questions are ones a customer would ask, not filler.
  • Person and ProfessionalService schema, so the business is an entity with a name and a URL. No star rating, because I do not have a set of reviews to mark up, and I will not invent one.
  • robots.txt that allows Googlebot, Bingbot, GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot, plus an llms.txt that lists the pages worth reading.
  • Internal links between the service, the proof, and the contact path, and a sitemap entry for every one of those pages.
  • A unique title, description, canonical, and Open Graph tags on each page, so the citation has a stable URL.

The page has to be specific.

Vague copy loses. 'We are a leading provider of solutions' gives an answer engine nothing to repeat. A page that names the service, the city, the hours, the dish, and the person who does the work can be quoted. If you are willing to publish a price, that belongs in the same paragraph. I will not invent one. A page that says the price is a quote is weaker than a page that states the number, and I will tell you that, and I will still ship it without a made-up figure.

The same rule applies to reviews. If you have real ones on a site you control, we can link to them. I will not write testimonials you did not receive, and I will not add aggregateRating markup for stars that are not on the page.

What I will not promise.

Position one in Google, or being the first name every time someone asks ChatGPT, is not a slot I sell. Anyone who guarantees that is selling something they do not control. Competition, the exact question, and how often the crawler comes back all sit outside the build.

What you can hold me to is the build itself: crawlable HTML, a direct answer at the top, schema that matches the words on the page, internal links, AI crawlers allowed, and a check of the questions your customers actually ask. I record whether you are named. I do not backfill a failure with fake reviews.

If the site does not exist yet, start with web design. The FAQ collects the short answers, including the ones about price and about New York, at /faq/.
