FAQ
Questions,answered first.
Short answers to the questions people actually ask about this work: AEO services, getting a business recommended by ChatGPT, cheap good web design, an affordable web designer for New York, and a fast website for a small business. The same words are in the FAQPage schema in the head of this page.
How to read these.
Each answer stands on its own, so a person or an answer engine can lift one without the rest of the page. Where a longer version exists, it is linked: AEO services, web design, and the visual walkthrough at SEO and AEO. The portfolio is the work those pages describe.
Nothing below invents a price, a review, a star rating, or a street address. If a number is missing, it is missing on purpose. Ask and you get one that belongs to your project.
Answers
The short version, in the HTML.
What are AEO services?
Answer engine optimization is the work of making your pages the ones ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google's AI overviews can quote. I build crawlable HTML, answer-first copy, FAQ schema that matches the visible questions, and a robots.txt that allows those crawlers. The full description of the work is the AEO services page on this site.
How do I get my business recommended by ChatGPT?
Publish a page that answers the question in the first sentences, with the specific facts a stranger would need: what you do, where, and how to get in touch. Mark it up with schema that repeats those facts, allow GPTBot and OAI-SearchBot, and make sure the words are in the HTML rather than only after JavaScript runs. I do that build. ChatGPT cites pages it can read. It does not rent out the first sentence, and I cannot honestly guarantee you will be the name it picks.
Do you do cheap, good web design?
I design and build small-business sites myself, scoped to what the business actually needs, which is how the price stays in range of a small shop. A good cheap site here means a short custom site, not a rented theme. I do not publish a price on this site, because a five-page restaurant site and a custom 3D concept are not the same job. Email me and you get a number before any work starts.
Are you an affordable web designer for New York?
I take small-business sites for New York and for clients elsewhere, and I work remotely. I do not keep a walk-in studio in the city, and I will not invent a street address. A live New York example is Yoko-Cho, a Japanese kitchen and sake bar on East 13th Street. If your business is in a specific neighborhood, send the cross street and the hours and those facts go on the page. That specificity is what helps you get found, more than a designer claiming a ZIP code.
Can you build a fast website for a small business?
Yes. The usual small-business site I build is static HTML: the words are in the first response, the images are cut to the layout, and there is no page-builder runtime between the visitor and the content. I aim at the Core Web Vitals ranges Google calls good. I do not stamp a Lighthouse score on a project before it exists. The portfolio homepage shows the more elaborate work. A shop or a restaurant gets the calmer version.
How much does a website cost?
I do not list a rate here. A price before I know the pages, the photography, and the deadline would be a guess, and I will not print a guess. Write what you need, including the city and how many pages, and I will reply with a figure before any work starts. Nothing is billed until you have seen that number.
How is this different from a template?
A template rents you a theme and leaves the speed, the writing, and the markup to a pile of plugins. I design the page, write it so a crawler can read it with JavaScript turned off, and ship it as your site on a host you control. The concept sites linked from the portfolio, including Clip, Perihelion, Gleid, and Riverstair, are there so you can see the ceiling. Your site should be simpler than those unless you ask for that.
Do you guarantee the top spot on Google or in ChatGPT?
No. Anyone who guarantees position one is selling a slot they do not control. What I commit to is the work: crawlable pages, a unique title and description on each one, schema that matches the visible text, internal links, a sitemap, and AI crawlers allowed. Rankings and citations also depend on competition. I will not paper over that with reviews, star ratings, or testimonials I do not have.
Where do contact form messages go?
The forms on this site post to /api/contact on jamescamarota.com. The message is emailed to me from this site's own Gmail mailbox. It does not go through another company's form host. If mail is ever unavailable, the form says so, and you can email atwbusinessjames@gmail.com directly.
What should I send when I get in touch?
The business name, the city, the pages you need, and any deadline. If you already have a site, send the URL. If you want AEO, send three questions your customers actually ask ChatGPT or Perplexity. If a price matters to the decision, say so in that first note and the reply will include one.

Ask the one that is missing.
If your question is not on this page, send it. If it is useful to the next person, I would rather publish the answer than hide it in an inbox.
